Toys

As everyone says, when you have a child, your world develops a new center.  As I observe the development of my son, I find it very interesting to see him attach himself to objects, as he did in even the very early months of his life.  If that quality is innate or cultural, I could see it expressed right away.  I would mentally take inventory of the objects he was attaching himself to, and I would wonder if he would have any kind of memory of these objects. I could not help but doubt that he would.  I am interested in centering images around these objects, as he centers his gaze or his attention.  I am interested in the universality of attraction and attention that expresses itself from very early moments of life.  And down the road I will be interested to find out if the images hold any meaning of memory to him.
